Philip McClelland

I am the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of My Integrity Counseling. I am also an adjunct professor of counseling at Davenport University. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of Ohio. I have a Masters of Divinity (MDiv) and a Masters of Arts (MA) in Professional Counseling. I am a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).
In therapy, I focus on working with painful past experiences and how those past experiences affect our thoughts, actions and bodies today.
My therapy is trauma-informed and YOU-centered, working specifically on the alleviation of anxiety symptoms and helping you to learn how to live the life you want to live, right here and now.
In addition to being a professional counselor, I have over a decade of pastoral counseling experience and working with not-for-profits, clergy, and conflict resolution.

I am a licensed professional clinical counselor who uses a biopsychosocial model to individualize treatment to meet the needs of each client. This model takes into account the various aspects of an individual including genetics, self-concept, family history, and culture. I specialize in mentoring adolescents and adults (individuals and couples) who want to improve their quality of life and relationships. I am a seasoned therapist with many years of experience.
I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and difficult life transitions such as relationship impasse, challenges with children and blended families, divorce, midlife and second half of life issues, grief, and retirement.
My therapeutic style is interactive, direct, and compassionate. I am skilled in a variety of treatment modalities. I find that many clients benefit from short-term intervention approaches followed up with periodic appointments as needed.

I have served as an executive assistant for more than 16 years providing multiple executives with administrative and human resource management support. I am a highly organized person who loves to help bring order to chaos and make things happen, easing the burden for others and helping them realize their goals. As a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt I excel at process improvement, team leadership, and creating effective and efficient working environments.
I have a Bachelors (BS) in Psychology, and Applied Associates (AA) in Administration with Quality Management emphasis. I am a certified Life Coach, and Board-Certified Mental Health Coach.
In addition to being an Executive Assistant, I have over a decade of experience volunteering as a mentor, life coach and a non-profit youth center director working with adolescents and their families. I am currently working on my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who completed my graduate work at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents and their families to overcome a spectrum of Mental Health related issues.
In my practice I use a trauma informed, person centered, strengths based approach to tackling an individual's struggles. I take an eclectic approach, utilizing strategies and skills from several evidenced based therapy models including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. No two persons paths to happiness and fulfillment are the same, and my therapeutic approach reflects this philosophy.

I am a licensed professional counselor, certified grief counselor specialist. I believe that “every step [is] an arrival” and that quote is reflective of our lives. Some of the steps of our lives include experiences that we would rather not have had. Counseling can be that next step that helps you to arrive at that desired place of wellness.
In my counseling, I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused, person-centered, and interpersonal process therapy. I will work with you on identifying your desired outcome and help you process your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Depending on the situation or experience, counseling can help discern old patterns, explore feelings, thoughts, behaviors, and attitudes and provide opportunities for growth and change.
I work with people with a variety of issues, including but not limited to: grief and loss, anxiety, depression, anger, and self-esteem issues. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, and children. I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds.

I have worked with offenders preparing to transition back into society, unhoused individuals, those struggling with opioid addiction in medication-assisted treatment, as well as alcohol and other drugs.
